Ska Punk Soul Noise

And Now the Tour Is Over..

Well sadly the tour is over but I don’t think it will ever be forgotten and what a way to finish, a sold out London Garage.

We liked to say thanks to all the bands, who were all amazing (both musically and as people), everyone who helped out like Jer the Punky MONKEY, Dan 5k, Matt Cheap, Bars, many others I’ve forgftten and of course everyone that turned up to the shows, from the 12 in Bradford to the 600 at The Garage. There will be some new pics from the tour up soon so keep checking back.

We have made a lot of new friends and got better acquainted with some old ones, a great time was had by all and we look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

A Short Break

Now a word from our Tom

Well the end of my time as a single entity is coming

to a close. It doesn’t seem like 8 months have passed

since I found out that I’msa gonna be a Daddy! In 5

weeks I’ll be blessed with a Son or Daughter to love,

provide for and share my life with. It’s been a rocky

few months emotionally but I can now say for sure I

really can’t wait to meet our new arrival!

Having thought hard about this for a while now I’ve

decided I need to take some time from Kenisia to get

my head and everything else ready for the birth. Were

not going to be doing any shows now until the HHN tour

which starts in July. This has been decided because it

wouldn’t be fair to fans and promoters alike for me to

agree to shows knowing full well I may have to pull

out at the last minute, plus I’d rather not get a call

telling me I need to go to the hospital when I’m half

way across the country. The panic could well give me a

heart attack which, lets face it would not start our

new relationship off on the best of footings.

I’d like to say a big thanks to Brandy, Ste, Jimmer,

Phil and Si for being cool about the whole situation

and listening to my worries and fears as well as my

joy! Kafren, Lil and Ian thanks for understanding

unquestionably why I need to do this right now.

As mentioned we will be doing the majority of the

shows on the HHN tour of our little Island in sunny

July which if the last one is anything to go by is

going to KICK ASS! Hope to see you all there for fun

and merriment.

P.S. Pints to wet the Babies head will of course, be

gladly accepted!

Take care all!

So Long, Fair Well – Onwards and Upwards

Well thats it the end of an era. Alan played his last show with us in Bristol a few weeks ago. Cheers to everyone who came along to wish him the best it proved to be a wicked last show. We would all like to say thanks to Al for all the time, energy, and money he has put into Kenisia over the years, and I would like to personally thank him for some of the funniest days of my life, Al you will be missed.

Introducing Jimmer. For those of you not aware of our next move in the Kenisia camp, our new front man is none other than James our A-MO trumpet playing friend. No stranger to the lead role Jim has sung in various bands in his native land and things are working out very well with him, some of you may have been lucky enough to have seen us in our new form but for the rest of you, get ready for a surprise we think you’ll like him.We have 5 new songs which are just about ready and we will be playing some of them when we hit the road with Mustard Plug next month, there are also lots of ideas flying around at rehersals so keep your ears to the ground for some of our best work yet!

Well thats about it for now but check back soon for more news updates.

Alan to Leave Kenisia

After almost 8 years we are very sad to announce that Alan our beloved singer has decided to leave the fold. But Kenisia WILL continue.

We wish him all the best in the future and thank him for all the time and hard work he has put into the band over the years. The split was completely amicable and we will continue to stay close friends with the little man who will always be considered a brother in the Kenisia family.

We don’t know when Alan’s last show with us will be exactly but the show on Mon Oct 20th will probably be the last Bristol date he will do with us.
