I’ve been tinkering around with the new Kenisia site for what seems like an age and finally it it has been released into the wild.
We have gone all web 2.0! I’ll give you a quick tour.
We’ve got ourselves a blog! We’ll try to keep it up too date with all Kenisia related stuff and nonsense. At least we can do better than the pitiful four articles we put on the old site last year. I’ve imported all the news from the old site so you can look back at in time. We’ll probably post after each gig as well so you can leave comments about the show.
Our music page pulls in our myspace player. You must know what MySpace is. Our’s is at www.myspace.com/kenisia
Pretty much the same as our old site but it’s integrated with Kenisia’s Eventful calendar . You can also add an Eventful demand if you wish, asking us to play in your town.
Our Pics page now runs off of Kenisia’s Flickr photos. We have had a load of pictures up that we have taken over the last few years and haven’t had time to upload to our old site. There are loads from the last HHN summer tour the Prototype tour, and loads of other generally silly pics.
New bit here, we now have a Kenisia youtube account – that’s right we’re down with the kids – and this page shows all our videos, plus a few of our favourites. Highlights out for James on the weakest link and comedy Vince crowdsurfing!
This isn’t quite ready yet but will be up and running soon and unsurprisingly… selling stuff.
Have fun poking around the site!
To celebrate our 1000th MySpace friend we have made (Songs About) Robots and Plastic Clouds, from our "Prototype’ Album a free download on our MySpace page or www.kenisia.com/music/
This is only until the new year so be quick and tell all your friends.
Mike Davies played “13th Day” last night on Radio Ones “Lock Up”.
We did a session at Maida Vale for Mike a couple of years back and last night Kenisia hit the airwaves again when the Lock Up played 13th Day from our new album.

Our new album “Prototype” is released today 20th March 2006.
It was recorded at Toybox Studios in Bristol last summer and is our first album with James on lead vocals. We’re all very excited about it and are looking forward to getting it out there at last.

In addition we will be on tour to support it’s release in April so make sure you keep checking back to get to see if we’re coming to a town near you soon.
You can buy it from our online shop
or from http://www.householdnamerecords.co.uk
You can listen to two new songs from the upcoming album on our Myspace page.
James gives it a go and is forced to perform for the Ginger Ice Queen. The show will air Tuesday 28th February 2006 at 5:15pm on BBC2.
Jimmer from Kenisia on the weakest link
Keeping in the tradition of Bristol bands on TV quiz shows (Roy Hacksaw on Mastermind) our singer James has pulled a sneaky one. He filmed the Weakest Link last month at Pinewood Studios. He was forced to sing on national television in front of millions for Anne Robinson herself! He says that he thinks she secretly fancied him on the show and there was plenty of eye contact and chemistry between the two. James will be one of the nine contestants mad enough to go toe to toe with Anne. We wish him the best of luck!
It’s time to party. This years ‘boozy do’ will be a gig at the Junction, Stoke Croft in Bristol on thurs 15th Dec.
As always Mr Zippy will be there and also lending their support Moderate Scene of Injury featuring our good friend Dave.
All are welcome so come along for much merryment and silly cover songs and maybe buy us a few beers….
